In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “Gravus” mean the operator of the Gravus app. The public contact is support@getgravus.com.

These Terms govern your use of the Gravus iOS app (com.gravus.app) and related pages on getgravus.com. By downloading, installing, or using Gravus, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Gravus is a calendar-first fitness log for iPhone. You can log training sessions, body weight, and body fat; set a cut, bulk, or recomp phase; and see progress charts. Optionally, Gravus reads selected data from Apple Health. Gravus does not write to Apple Health in v1.0.

v1.0 stores your log on this device only. There is no Gravus cloud backup and no Gravus login. If you delete the app or lose the device without an iOS backup, your log is gone. That limitation is part of the product you are buying access to.

Gravus is licensed, not sold. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent these Terms do not conflict; where they conflict on subscriptions, Health, or our disclaimers, these Terms control between you and us. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Gravus.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must not use Gravus if we have previously barred you.

You represent that information you enter (including date of birth) is accurate. Gravus is not directed at children under 13.

3. Health and fitness - not medical advice

Gravus is for tracking and education only. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian, or qualified trainer.

Calorie targets, protein targets, TDEE/BMR-style estimates, pace, BMI, body-fat estimates (including tape / Navy-style calculations), and “forecast” dates are approximations. They can be wrong for your body.

Do not use Gravus as treatment for an eating disorder, injury, or disease. Talk to a qualified professional before a large calorie deficit or surplus, aggressive body-composition change, or if you are pregnant, under 18, or have a medical condition.

You are responsible for your training and eating decisions. We are not liable for outcomes from following in-app estimates. The full text is at https://getgravus.com/disclaimer and in the app (Goals disclaimer). That disclaimer is part of these Terms.

4. Apple Health

Apple Health access is optional. If you grant it, Gravus may read the categories described in the Privacy Policy and cache them on device. You can revoke access in iOS Health settings. We never write to Health in v1.0.

Health data from other apps (for example a food logger) appears in Gravus only if those apps wrote it to Health and you allowed Gravus to read it. We do not operate those other apps.

5. Subscriptions, trial, and billing (Apple Guideline 3.1.2)

Paid access is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the App Store using your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

5.1 What you get

While a trial or paid subscription is active, you may use Gravus’s premium features (the full logging, goals, and progress experience as shipped). We may change features reasonably over time; we will not remove the core logging loop without notice in an app update.

5.2 Plans (v1.0)

Exact prices are set in App Store Connect and shown in the paywall from StoreKit / RevenueCat. Do not rely on a screenshot. Planned structure:

Title of the subscription service: Gravus Premium (access to the Gravus app).

Placeholder list prices used in planning (must match ASC when you submit): about US$9.99 / month and US$39.99 / year. Other countries see Apple’s localized price.

5.3 Trial

A 14-day free trial may be offered to eligible Apple IDs as configured in App Store Connect. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts to paid and your Apple ID is charged. Unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase a subscription where Apple’s rules say so.

5.4 Auto-renewal and cancellation

The subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current rate.

Manage or cancel: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or the manage link in Gravus Account when shipped. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Gravus, under Apple’s refund policy.

5.5 Restore purchases

Apple requires Restore Purchases. Use Restore on the paywall and in Account if you reinstall or change devices (same Apple ID).

v1.0 is planned without Family Sharing on the subscription group. If we enable it later in App Store Connect, Apple’s Family Sharing rules apply and we will update this section.

6. Email and “no account”

We ask for an email so we can support you and so RevenueCat can attach a contact address to an anonymous subscriber ID. That is not a Gravus account: there is no password, no sign-in, and no server-side workout backup in v1.0.

You are responsible for keeping the email accurate if you want us to find your subscription.

7. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gravus on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.

You must not:

Reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the app except as allowed by law
Misuse Restore, trials, or payment systems
Upload unlawful content in notes or names
Use Gravus to provide medical care to others as if it were a clinical tool
Attempt to extract other users’ data (v1.0 has no social graph; do not try to build one by abusing support)

The exercise name catalog bundled in the app is for in-app logging only.

8. Your content

You retain rights in the notes, names, and logs you enter. You grant us a limited license to process that data on device and, for email and purchase metadata only, on vendors described in the Privacy Policy, solely to operate Gravus and support you.

We do not claim ownership of your training log.

9. Third-party services

Gravus may open Apple Health, Mail, or Safari. Apple’s terms and the Privacy Policy apply. RevenueCat processes subscription status. We are not responsible for outages of Apple, Health, or RevenueCat.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

GRAVUS IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that estimates are accurate, that Health sync is complete, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. iOS, HealthKit, and StoreKit are Apple’s.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under consumer law in your country (including, where applicable, the UK Consumer Rights Act or EU consumer directives).

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE GRAVUS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM USE OF GRAVUS OR RELIANCE ON ESTIMATES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO GRAVUS IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR GRAVUS VIA APPLE IN THAT PERIOD (EXCLUDING APPLE’S COMMISSION, TO THE EXTENT WE ACTUALLY RECEIVED NET PROCEEDS) OR (B) US$50.

These caps do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that law does not allow us to limit.

Lost local data: because v1.0 does not sync to our servers, we are not liable for loss of the on-device database.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of Gravus, your violation of these Terms, or your training/nutrition decisions, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

13. Termination

You may stop using Gravus and uninstall at any time (cancel the subscription separately). We may suspend access if you materially breach these Terms or if Apple removes the app. Sections that should survive (including 3, 10-12, 14) survive termination.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING_LAW], excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts of [GOVERNING_COURTS] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring mandatory consumer claims in your country of residence where the law requires, and you may have additional rights that these Terms cannot override.

15. Apple-required terms

You acknowledge that:

These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Gravus.
In the event of a failure of Gravus to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the app (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to Gravus or your possession/use of it, including product liability, legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection.
Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging third-party intellectual-property claims.
You represent you are not in a U.S. embargoed country and not on a U.S. denied-party list.
Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it against you.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. For material subscription changes, Apple’s and local consumer-law notice rules apply. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted.
